Historic Zions Bank Building

Bountiful, Utah

The Zions Bank branch located in Bountiful is a 9,400-square-foot, two-story facility completed in 2010. The design features a modern limestone façade on the west elevation, paired with the careful reconstruction and systemic upgrade of the historic Main Street façade, including restoration of the original entry and vestibule.

The main level is organized to support private banking functions, with a perimeter of private offices, a teller line, and a mix of lounge and open office seating. The space is enhanced with integrated media, including large-format displays, and prominently features local artwork—an established hallmark of Scott Anderson’s branch interiors. A large community conference room and drive-through teller services were also incorporated, replacing outdated banking infrastructure.

The second floor was designed as flexible lease space for local businesses, with secure, separate entries accessed from the parking lot. These shared office environments were envisioned to foster engagement and strengthen connections within the community.

This design approach ultimately served as a prototype for the subsequent Zions Bank branch in Jackson, Wyoming.

Zions Bank has been one of the firm’s earliest and most enduring clients over the past 50 years. Prescott and Scott Anderson continue to maintain a strong professional relationship built on trust, collaboration, and shared success.
